I invite members to comment on any of the statutory instruments, which relate to the crofting community right to buy and the community right to buy under the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003.
I will be relatively brief, convener.Karen Gillon admitted that she did not understand the issue. She has until 26 March to annul the instrument, which gives the committee plenty time to hear directly from the industry and to learn about some of the issues.
The minister agreed that it would be appropriate to give evidence on the new instrument.The Subordinate Legislation Committee has yet to consider the new instrument, so we cannot make a formal decision today on whether to make any recommendation on the regulations.
