There are no legal proceedings in progress against any of the parties that were responsible for the design and construction of the Kingston Bridge.The Secretary of State inherited two court actions against the consulting engineers who designed the bridge when he took over responsibility for this structure when the M8 through Glasgow was adopted as a trunk road on 1 April 1996. The actions were settled out of court in 1997 without any admission of liability on the part of the defendants.
The Home Energy Efficiency Scheme was replaced in Scotland on 1 July by the Warm Deal. The budget for the Warm Deal in the current year is £12 million and it is expected that about 24,000 homes will receive grants.
To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to publish information after 1 July on what proportion of Scotland's domestic waste is currently (a) recycled, (b) dumped in landfill sites, (c) incinerated without heat recovery; and, (d) incinerated with heat recovery.
