Since the first Out of Hospital Cardiac Arrest Strategy was launched in 2015, in Scotland bystander CPR rates have increased from 43% to 66.1% and public access defibrillator deployment before the arrival of the ambulance service has increased from 2.5% to 8% in 2021/22.
