The Met Office could not get the budget right for its new offices down in Exeter, although I suppose that it is terrible for us to point that out. The offices came in £8 million over budget.
I appreciate that John Swinney wants to make a political point and that he and Derek Brownlee have entertained us with some of the points that they have made, but there is a real, substantive issue: in the context of the spending review—in particular, one that is aligned with an election—how do we do what is best for Scotland?
As that is partly due to the resilience of the wider travel-to-work area, Andrew Wilson's substantive point about the need to strengthen the transport infrastructure is one of which I am very seized.
