I have the pleasure of being a member of the Subordinate Legislation Committee, so I have been involved in phase 1 of its inquiry. The committee is proposing to introduce a bill in 2006 to try to tidy up some of the issues surrounding statutory instruments and subordinate legislation in general, so it is important that the committees get involved.
