The CBI Scotland wants the most level possible playing field. We can talk about how best to achieve that and there is a real debate to be had between Labour and Liberal Democrat members and the Conservatives.
Our witnesses might not want to leap in with both feet and talk about that at this point in the discussion, but I think that it is an issue that this committee has to be brave enough and bold enough to address head on.
I agreed to the committee lodging certain amendments at stage 3. As I tried to point out in the debate on 26 April, we lodged those amendments to ensure that the whole Parliament and not only members of the committee could determine the outcomes.
The point is fair. I am not talking about sending huge aeroplanes into the smaller airports that are scattered about the Highlands, but surely it is desirable to increase the number of flights into some of them.
