That is fine, but let me take the minister to another point in the bill. Proposed new subsection (1B)(b) of section 28 of the 1995 act says that proposed new subsection (1A)"applies even if release of the accused would be required but for that subsection."
We could do without that doom and gloom aspect of the Scottish personality in the new Scotland; we have achieved something great—a great new image for Scotland—so let us build on it.
Perhaps the clerks can clarify the brief point that I want to make about inward visits. Like other members, I sometimes hear about such visits after they have taken place.
