The anticipated capital cost profile for the construction of the new Alexandria Medical Centre is set out in the following table: 2010-11 £1.2 million 2011-12 £8.6 million 2012-13 £7.51 million In addition, a further £3.5 million of capital investment is required in 2010-11 for the provision of dental chairs within the new facility.

To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S3W-18594 by Shona Robison on 11 December 2008, how soon the State Hospital will reduce its numbers to a level that can be accommodated in the new redeveloped facility. Allowing for forecast progress with the building and commissioning of the new facilities the new level of patient provision should be achieved by July 2009.
