To ask the Scottish Executive when the Minister for Rural Development will respond to my letter of 26 October 2000 on agri-money compensation for the cereal sector.
I want to assure Mr Scott that the web page link does not link to any advice about not buying fridges. There are many things that I am responsible for, but I am certainly not responsible for utterances by DEFRA on whether people should buy a fridge.
We quickly identified for the board that the big challenge would be the demographic change in the population of Dumfries and Galloway: a 26 per cent increase in over-65s, a 26 per cent decrease in those aged 19 and below and an 11 per cent decrease in the working-age population.
