Yesterday, we spent a whole morning giving more than 100 establishments—nurseries, primary schools and as many as half a dozen out of 26 high schools—bronze, silver and gold awards for the promotion of healthy eating.
Several issues have been raised with me about the use of the new powers. Clearly, there are concerns that the powers are not being used as extensively or as effectively in some parts of the country as in others.
I am sure that the minister will agree that it is in our best interests to welcome hundreds and thousands of people to Scotland—indeed, the First Minister recently visited Canada in order to do just that.
I thank the minister for his reply and for his interesting visit to Elgin. As a former candidate in Moray, he perhaps recalls with nostalgia the importance that the constituency attaches to an Elgin bypass and to the A96 as a whole.
