We as a Government are committed to ensuring that we not only recruit an additional 1,000 new officers but seek to retain valuable experienced officers in our communities, which is what communities want.
I do share that concern. As Ian McKee will be aware, the new sexual health standards that were published by NHS Quality Improvement Scotland in March include a new target for chlamydia testing of young people in particular.
Women who are experiencing domestic violence will be a key client group for the new service. We are also reviewing the block fees that are payable for civil legal aid, to ensure that they provide appropriate remuneration.
If a new terminal building and land reclamation to provide improved vehicle marshalling and a new berth for grain vessels were also included, the estimated cost would be £16 million at current prices.

To ask the Scottish Executive why no separate planning permission was required for the new linkspan at Dunoon. Argyll and Bute Councilwas responsible for the new breakwater and linkspan at Dunoon.
