Thank you, Presiding Officer. However, it is not a new thing. I was persistent yesterday, too, and I would prefer to ask the First Minister the question that I wanted to ask the Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth.
I have asked the chief executive of the funding council to write to the member to outline its approach to the future funding of colleges in Glasgow, including the new city of Glasgow college. The minister will be aware that the city of Glasgow college merger went through substantially on promises from the Scottish funding council of £300 million of capital support for development of the college infrastructure, including a brand new engineering facility.
It would be a terrible tragedy if special needs children lost out on new schools. I am pleased that the cabinet secretary confirmed that the council's proposal is being properly considered.
(S3O-7573) The £31 million of additional funding will be used to accelerate and sustain investment in new housing developments for affordable rent and to kick-start and unblock private developments to help deliver homes for mid-market rent and low-cost ownership.
Would that problem be allayed if the General Teaching Council in Scotland considered assisting the training of new probationer teachers in outdoor education as well as in specialist PE activity?
Does she agree that it would be extremely difficult for candidates to judge whether they wish to be considered for jobs on the new body when they do not know what funding powers creative Scotland will have?

The First Minister will be aware of the increasing number of children in Scotland who are classified as "new to English". Those children are very welcome.
