This new chapter in the draft CCPu highlights the role that Negative Emissions Technologies (NETs) may play in removing carbon from the atmosphere in both the electricity and industrial sectors.
There is currently 0.02 GW of this technology operational in Scotland
It is however expected that recent changes to subsidy schemes for renewables will impact on potential new projects, of all sizes
In 2018, an estimated 697 MW of community and locally owned renewable energy capacity was operational.
