I am pleased that Highland Council, for example, has designated land for affordable housing in its latest local plan. I must now move on to the very important issue of enforcement.
Public Authority dwellings include all dwellings owned by local authorities, Scottish Homes and New Towns (when in existence). Scottish Homes stopped building dwellings in 1992, and all New Towns were wound up by the end of 1995.

You have been chief executive for 18 months or so, and you came in as a new broom with new ideas. However, when I look at the submission, I do not see too many new ideas.
Since he put them on the table, I do not think that he has visited Scotland. He has visited London, but he has not visited this country or Scottish fishing communities.
He will be aware that a major study that was carried out in the mid-1990s found that 3 per cent of young people were responsible for 26 per cent of all youth crime. He talked about better joined-up working.
Difficulties must arise for anybody who is trying to develop a new economy. As John Foster suggested, when new offices come to Govan, new jobs do not result for local people.
