The Children (Care and Justice) (Scotland) Bill ("the Bill”) is currently proceeding through the Scottish Parliament and contains new powers in relation to cross-border placements.
Part of the provisions contained within the 2020 Regulations are due to come into force on 26 June, with the remainder coming into force on the 27 June 2020.
I also recognise and acknowledge the two new members. I am pleased to be making my first appearance at the committee as a minister following my appointment to the new role in June.
UNISON RESPONSE TO THE LESSONS LEARNED REVIEW 2022 After a promising start to the latest lessons learned review, it seemed to dissipate quickly without a proper opportunity to discuss, question or develop some of the emerging ideas.

The Cabinet Secretary reiterated in evidence that the Bill focuses on non-executive members and “takes targeted action in response to our new powers”iiiOfficial Report, 26 October 2017, Col. 15, and that there are broader equality issues for boards.
I thought that I would examine some of the data. I am grateful to the latest edition of The Spectator magazine, which has some helpful information that compares the situation internationally.
