The OECD recently updated their global economic outlook, and the forecast for UK GDP growth for 2026 was downgraded from 1.3% to 0.7%. Sky News noted that this was the largest downgrade among advanced economies, with the UK’s exposure to international energy markets being the key factor in this changed forecast.
