Amendment 572 extends the provisions of section 84 to include patients subject to an interim compulsory treatment order. It also deletes section 84(1)(a)(i), which is not required, as a compulsory treatment order can never authorise detention, which is dealt with in section 54(1)(a), while also imposing a requirement to attend for medical treatment, which is dealt with in section 54(1)(c)(i).Amendment 573 similarly extends the provision of section 85 to patients on an interim compulsory treatment order.
