Report on the Legislative Consent Memorandum for the Subsidy Control Bill - Net Zero

Net Zero During proceedings at Westminster, an amendment was proposed to add a new requirement to the subsidy control principles in schedule 1, namely that the beneficial effects of subsidies should outweigh their negative effects on “consistency with the United Kingdom achieving its net zero commitments established under the Climate Change Act 2008”.
