The petition calls on the Parliament to urge the Scottish Executive to review the current guidelines on new housing developments to ensure that a larger proportion is allocated to affordable housing.At its meeting on 26 May 2004, the committee agreed to seek comments from the Executive.

I would also take the view that, although the committee will wish to remain involved in considering the latestnews on the crisis, the main part of the committee's work will probably to consider the aftermath of this outbreak.
