I am not ashamed to say, as a lawyer of many years' standing, that I find proposed new section 90 of the Children's Hearings (Scotland) Act 2011 impossible to read.
The Committee highlighted the importance of a "joined-up approach" and asked how the consultation on EIAs and habitats regulations will inform the new legislation to ensure optimal environmental outcomes.
Innovation
The Committee notes the Scottish Government’s new “innovation active” indicator which adopts the wider definition of business innovation as used in the UK Innovation Survey.
Obviously, funding for initiatives can either contribute to work that has been well planned and co-ordinated, or get in its way.The initiatives are relatively new and at this stage we are not examining whether they are efficient and effective.

The Elevator Fresh Starts Business Start Up support programme has seen 24 new businesses in the north east, this includes intensive support from experienced mentors; and 32 companies attended a sales leadership event in August 2015 in Aberdeen.

(Scotland) Act 2005 to support the rights of breastfeeding mothers. 2006 Health Improvement, Efficiency, Access to Treatment (HEAT) target 7 to increase the proportion of new-born children exclusively breastfed at 6–8 weeks from 26.6% in 2006-7 to 33.3% in 2010-11.
