I was encouraged, however, to learn that Scotland was introducing a new 1 + 2 approach to language learning, as I am trilingual (German, French, English).
A core part of the Commission's role will be to evaluate the Government's current and new policies.
The Cabinet Secretary emphasised that there are no plans to place the Commission on a statutory footing.
With regard to the second question, the Scottish Government intends to amend paragraph 14 of the schedule to reflect the increased fees in the new table of fees.
