I reassure the committee and Parliament that it has always been the intention that fishing organisations would be consulted on marine park proposals, but to underscore that point, and to make it clear in the bill, I am happy to accept the amendment.

There is a range of benefits from the point of view of diversity and from the point of view of getting back to the countryside that we knew as children.
I welcome the opportunity to plug the consultation, which closes on 26 February, and I invite people to respond because their comments will help us to shape the bill.
If we can get the strategy approved, the next port of call will be to ensure that it is followed by the Parliament and used as an example of best practice in Scotland. I welcome the consultation and acknowledge the fact that there has been wide communication to get to this point.
