NHS boards will be implementing the revised senior charge nurse role in hospitals across NHSScotland over the next two years. This new role framework will ensure that senior charge nurses are supported in their development as guardians of quality clinical care and standards in their areas.
Over the period 2008-11 the Scottish Government aims to deliver more than 21,500 new affordable homes nationally which is in line with levels of approvals achieved for 2005-08 despite increasing costs.
The Pipeline funding referred to in the table was revenue funding for new capital projects originally scheduled for completion in 2003-04 where the completion date slipped so funding was rolled forward and added to the Supporting People grant allocations previously announced.
