Barnardo's Scotland, Stirling Council and the Care Inspectorate all noted that supporting some children up to the age of 19 will add further strain onto children and families social work teams.

Similarly, COSLA stated that it recognised the need for, and importance of, appropriate care and support to be provided for all young people, including those transitioning into adulthood.
