Bail and Release from Custody (Scotland) Bill Stage 1 Report - Section 11 - Provision of information to victim support organisations
It would also allow such an organisation to request that information.
The new provisions will operate in conjunction with the current Victim Notification Scheme (VNS), allowing a victim to nominate a victim support organisation to receive information about the release of the prisoner in their case.
