To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S3W-1564 by Kenny MacAskill on 16 July 2007, whether it is considering any new measures to reduce the purchase or acquisition of alcohol by young people.
To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has made to secure the necessary capital funding for a new Forth crossing. The Forth ReplacementCrossing Study has now concluded and Transport Scotland is considering the study findings.
To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will continue to fund and support the New Arts Sponsorship Awards scheme. I refer the member to the answer to question S3W-742 on20 June 2007.
The reality on the ground is as described to me by a civilian custody support worker who contacted me to say that he is to lose his job, but only after he has trained a new police recruit who will replace him.
I hope that that will allay Nigel Don’s fear that we are referring to new age travellers rather than the population of Gypsy Travellers that we have had in Scotland for a number of years.
