Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002 3 In the Freedom of Information (Scotland) Act 2002, in Part 2 of schedule 1 (non- 25 ministerial office holders in the Scottish Administration), after paragraph 7 insert— “7ZA Consumer Scotland.”.
The UK has additional regulations that restrict sales to certain periods, raise minimum age limits and impose curfews on fireworks use; while further restrictions exist in Northern Ireland, which require those who both buy and sell fireworks to have valid licences.
The foundations for such a framework must be built on good governance, policy expertise, cross-party buy-in (as has been the case for climate change), a whole systems approach, and long-term ownership.
