If and when the order-making powers come in, it is not necessarily the case that all public authorities that are faced with different exemption lifespans will overnight be releasing information 15 years earlier than they would do at present; that would be entirely up to the individual public authority.In all probability, the release will be reactive, as it has been before, so that the new lifespans will be applied when a request comes in.
