In November 2008, I announced that, with immediate effect, all new build hospital projects should provide 100% provision of single room accommodation, and that there should be a move to a minimum of 50% provision in future refurbishment projects.

I have therefore decided to increase the potential funding support available from LEADER for new projects from up to 50% to up to 90% from 1 January 2010.
