As part of therecent announcement of the Scottish Budget, provision has been made for a newunified fund for Community Planning Partnerships to regenerate communities;tackle individual poverty; and overcome barriers to work. The new fund featureswithin the local government settlement and totals £145 million in each yearbetween 2008-11.The Working forFamilies Programme is one of the current, pump-priming funding streams which willbe replaced by the new fund’s introduction in April 2008.
