Recommendation
The Committee notes that the Scottish Government has undertaken to put forward an amendment at Stage 3 which would remove section 2A, including the power contained in subsection (2), as the section serves no purpose in the Bill as amended.

Cairngorm funicular railway Written sub HIE 4 Nov 2025
Approval was received in January 2023 and the funicular returned to operations on 26 January that year. The total cost to HIE of these strengthening works was £25.4m, of which £18m was paid to Balfour Beatty.
