I would like to draw the minister’s attention to two examples in my constituency of situations in which the number of new houses and the school provision has got extraordinarily out of kilter.
On section 24, "Amendments to UNCITRAL Model Law or New York Convention", are we agreed that the proposed power is acceptable in principle in so far as it relates to amendments to the New York convention, and that affirmative procedure is appropriate?
I am delighted that Fife, as was referred to in my previous answer, is making significant progress on cutting class sizes. I look forward to hearing news of that nature from across Scotland.
Will he make an announcement on whether the new Administration will rigidly enforce the guaranteed maximum of 25 pupils in early primary classes or whether he will allow headteachers flexibility where that suits the needs of pupils and parents in a school?
Electric vehicles
The development of public EV changing infrastructure became a recurring theme throughout the Session, with the delivery of the Scottish Government’s Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Fund and further plans for 24,000 new EV chargers by 2030 featuring in annual scrutiny of the Scottish Government’s draft budgets throughout the Session.
As CPGs start to seek to re-register or form in the new Session, we recommend that our successors allow time to take informed decisions about whether to accord recognition to CPGs, including consideration of any previous compliance issues.
