We published our new draft Biodiversity Strategy on 13 December 2022, which sets out 26 Priority Actions to put us on the path to a nature positive future, and halt biodiversity loss by 2030.
As part of this consultation we plan to seek views on the introduction of building standards in 2025-26 to underpin a new Scottish Accessible Homes Standard, which all new homes will need to achieve, regardless of tenure.

As the National Outcomes fall within the remits of a number of committees, Committee Conveners agreed a joint approach to scrutiny at the Conveners Group meeting on 26 April 2023.
The FPA Committee wrote to Conveners on 6 March 2024 and again on 3 May 2024 setting out the agreed scrutiny approach to be undertaken by Committees.
