We are already signatories to the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, under which children are returned to the jurisdiction where they are habitually resident for decisions to be made about their future. The young people had to consult the older people, both on their designs and on the sites for the proposed facilities. The project showed us that young people and adults have very little contact and there is not much of a relationship between the two groups, which means that it is easy for perceptions to be blown up out of all proportion.
