The Hunting with Dogs (Scotland) Bill

Changes from the 2002 Act The Bill makes substantial changes to the wording, structure, and effect of the exceptions compared with the 2002 Act. In particular: There are fewer situations where the exceptions in sections 3 and 5 of the Bill may be used, compared to the exception in section 2 of the 2002 Act (though note that "controlling the number of a particular species to safeguard the welfare of that species" is now one of the purposes for which section 7 may be used as an exception).
