Apprenticeships are a real good-news story. They are a good-news story for the young people who are apprentices and the people of all ages who are apprentices, and they are a good-news story for the economy, because apprenticeships provide skills that we need for the future.

The regulations are subject to the affirmative procedure (Rule 10.6) and it is for the Social Security Committee to recommend to Parliament whether they should be approved.
