Report on STEM in early years education - Introduction
Introduction
The Scottish Government published its Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) strategy on 26 October 2017. The strategy, which runs from 2017 to 2022, states:
The Strategy aims to build Scotland's capacity to deliver excellent STEM learning, and to close equity gaps in participation and attainment in STEM.

Motherwell Football Club and its manager, Stephen Robinson, produced a video—it is available on YouTube and Facebook—in which players talk openly about their experience of suicide and encourage young fans and young people who take part in football to talk about their concerns before things get to crisis point in their lives. It is not just Motherwell FC that is involved in such work. I attended the launch of the suicide prevention strategy that Motherwell, Airdrieonians FC, Albion Rovers FC and Clyde FC have adopted.
