To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will detail any discussions it has had with the Ministry of Defence on the long-term future of Glencorse Barracks. No. Discussions between the Scottish Executive and the UK Government are conducted on a confidential basis.
To ask the Scottish Executive whether, in the light of recent press articles, its position on not reviewing local authority boundaries in the foreseeable future has changed. There are no plans for a review of local authority boundaries.
To ask the Scottish Executive what criteria it will take into account in making a decision on the future location of the Scottish Agricultural Science Agency.
I pay tribute to all those who helped us with that important and sensitive but vital task, which I am sure will make a big difference in the future. We cannot change the experience that many parents had, but we can avoid it being the experience of others in the future.
My final point is that we must examine the implications of the Ministry of Defence's decisions on the future of renewables. Although I take on board what the minister said in relation to the overall picture on the emissions trading scheme, I make a plea for the briefs to be more expansive and to give more information when we deal with such processes in the future.
