Standing Order rule changes - Procedures on consent in relation to UK Parliament Bills - What was consulted on?
The draft rules set out in the consultation sought to replicate the same provisions for motions refusing consent as currently exist for legislative consent motions in a new Rule 9B.2A. This included:
the requirement that a motion refusing legislative consent can only be lodged if a corresponding legislative consent memorandum has been lodged.
