The Police and Fire Reform (Scotland) Bill will create a single police service for Scotland which will require fewer support staff. It will be for the new service to plan its own staffing requirements.

I met with Strathclyde Police and Glasgow City Council on 15 November to discuss their experience of operating the Council’s new guidelines over the 2011 marching season.
There are 2,125 hectares of non native woodland approved for new planting in the next planting season through the Scotland Rural Development Programme.
There are basically two taxes that are based on property: business rates and council tax. If I remember the latest numbers correctly, council tax raised £1.9 billion in Scotland and business rates raised about £2 billion, which comes to roughly £4 billion out of the £56 billion in total that was raised in taxation in Scotland.
To ask the Scottish Government how many households in each local authority area would be affected by the new higher council tax bands proposed by the Commission on Local Tax Reform, also broken down by Scottish Parliament constituency.
