I do not understand the background to paragraphs 26 to 28. By and large, the point is that parliamentarians who are speaking at an event as parliamentarians ought to declare any interests.

I am sure that we would all agree that a decision to site a new generation of Trident nuclear weapons on the River Clyde would have an impact on Scotland.
Local councillors have unanimously supported the position of the parents and have sought to go to the full council, through its various committees, to recommend that the school be replaced on the same site with a building that is fit for purpose.
First, in a letter of 20 June, Mr McCabe states that the Government does not intend to bid for any of the EU agencies that may be looking for sites, based on the Government's view that we do not have a sufficiently strong background in the matters to justify a realistic chance of success.
