Explanatory Notes Social Security Administration and Tribunal Membership Scotland Bill

The new circumstances in which the power to appoint an appointee may be used are where it appears to the Scottish Ministers that:  the individual is aged 16 years or over and agrees to the appointment (new section 58(2)(a) of the 2018 Act, inserted by section 1(2)(a)), and  where new subsection (4A) (inserted by section 1(2)(b)) applies (new section 58(2)(b) of the 2018 Act, inserted by section 1(2)(a)). 10.
