I am a Councillor for Orkney Islands Council (of School Place, Kirkwall, KW15 1NY, Orkney). I work in the region of 12 to 20 hours per week in this role. Until 15 May 2026 I received remuneration of between £35,001 and £40,000 per annum for the Senior Councillor role. Since 15 May 2026 I receive remuneration of between £25,001 and £30,000 for the Councillor role. The basic rate of the councillor salary is deducted from my MSP salary.
