Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government how women and girls will access free sanitary products from the partner organisations involved in the six-month pilot scheme in Aberdeen for low-income families; how women and girls in need will be identified; whether they will be issued with identification or other paperwork in order to qualify, and whether there will be a limit on the number or type of products available.

To ask the Scottish Government, further to the answer to question S5W-07248 by John Swinney on 2 March 2017, whether it will provide an update on what action it is taking to consider the impact that homelessness has on children's educational attainment, in light of reports that the number of children without a permanent home has risen by 16% in the last year to 6,041.
