Please be aware that we've now begun making changes to the website, including updating MSP, committee and Bill pages, to reflect the end of the parliamentary session.

Recess and dissolution

The Scottish Parliament election is on Thursday 7 May 2026.

Parliament will be in recess from 26 March to 8 April. Dissolution begins on 9 April. During this time there will be no parliamentary business.

The final Business Bulletin of the session was published on 26 March. The next Business Bulletin will be published after the election, and it is likely to be during the week beginning 11 May.
