That the Parliament congratulates Pam Gosal MSP on being made a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) in the King’s New Year Honours List 2024; acknowledges that Pam received this honour for services to business, racial equality and charity; notes that this accolade follows Pam’s election to the Scottish Parliament in 2021, which marked the first Sikh, first Indian woman and one of the first women of colour to become an MSP; understands that Pam has used her platform as an MSP to continue to campaign on issues such as racial equality since being elected, and intends to continue this work both inside and outside of politics, and wishes Pam all the best for the future.
