That the Parliament recognises the outstanding efforts of Troon’s fishing crew, Spes Bona, for their actions that saw them rescue another boat off the coast of Arran; understands that the stricken trawler broke down off the coast of Arran during horrific stormy weather conditions; further understands that Spes Bonas were fishing just a few miles away when the other crew experienced mechanical issues; notes that Spes Bona is a family-run business and has been in operation for over six generations, and run by brothers Donald and Robin Gibson; commends the crew for their quick thinking actions, and thanks them for their bravery and efforts.
