That the Parliament congratulates Connor Beck on winning the Young Heart Hero accolade at the British Heart Foundation (BHF) Heart Hero Awards 2022 in recognition of his remarkable efforts to support the nation’s heart charity; recognises that Connor was inspired to fundraise after his family was left devastated by the death of his beloved uncle, John Clark, who died in 2019 at the age of 34 as a result of a cardiac arrest, and that Connor has since gone on to raise nearly £10,000 for BHF; understands that, in order to mark his uncle’s 35th birthday, Connor organised a sponsored cycle where he cycled 35km and raised more than £3,000 and, following this, swapped his bike for hiking boots, taking on his latest challenge of walking the 154km West Highland Way, walking the route in just five weekends, and completing the challenge again on his uncle’s birthday; notes that this was Connor’s favourite fundraising challenge so far and that his parents could not be prouder of their nine-year-old son, and commends Connor on this fantastic achievement.
