That the Parliament welcomes the engagement of pupils at Eastwood High School in Newton Mearns who are in third year and studying computing with the British Interactive Media Association's (BIMA) Digital Day for 2022; recognises that Digital Day provides school pupils aged between 11 and 16 across the UK with the opportunity to meet professionals in the sector and find out more about pursuing a career in the digital sector; understands that the event involved students from Eastwood High formulating digital solutions to problems that they may encounter in the world of work on issues such as accessibility, inclusivity and sustainability and then putting together a presentation with the opportunity to win prizes, both individually and for the school; commends the third year computing students at Eastwood High for their participation in this valuable exercise, and encourages young people to consider a career in the digital sector.
