Wick Co-op’s Community Fund

  • Submitted by: Edward Mountain, Highlands and Islands, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 02 December 2021
  • Motion reference: S6M-02355

That the Parliament commends Wick Co-op’s payday celebration, which saw representatives from different causes receive a total of £7,049.80 from its local Community Fund; welcomes how this fund contributes to local causes through Co-op customers using their membership cards; understands that the Caithness Broch Project/Wick High School, Hearing and Sight Care Caithness and North Sutherland and Caithness Community Connections have all received support from this year's fund; recognises the positive impact that these three causes have on the local community, and hopes for 2022 to be another successful year for the Co-op Community Fund.
